She was nominated for and won an Olivier Award for Best Actress in the play "My Zinc Bed" for her role. She has been married and divorced twice, first to actress Rory Edwards and later to activist Jon Rubin. Ormond is active with many causes such as combating human trafficking, promoting AIDS awareness and the fight against human trafficking.
